Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah virtually laid the foundation stone for a ₹255-crore dairy plant in Ujjain on October 3 during a programme in Bhopal. The Free Press Journal’s report, updated that afternoon, confirms the ceremony and says ₹101 crore was provided to gaushalas during the programme.
The Cooperation Ministry’s October 2 advance release describes the planned Ujjain facility as a three-lakh-litre-per-day processing plant.
The same official programme also listed a ₹16.5-crore, 40,000-litre-per-day plant and a ₹12.42-crore laboratory in Bhopal, along with ₹6.5 crore of upgrades at Shivpuri.
