Nuh police said on September 30 that six people had been arrested in an arms case after officers received information about an alleged plan to travel to Delhi and retaliate over a dispute at Jamia Millia Islamia. The Times of India and Aaj Tak reported the account attributed to police spokesperson Krishna Kumar.
According to police, the group had assembled in the Salamba area and was intercepted before leaving for Delhi. Officers said they recovered a country-made pistol, another country-made firearm and three bamboo sticks. These recoveries and the alleged purpose of the gathering are the police account.
An Arms Act case was registered at Sadar Nuh police station. Police said they were examining the original university dispute, the source of the weapons and whether other people were involved. The reports did not establish a communal motive or confirm that all six were university students.
No court finding, defence response or university account was included in the reviewed reports. The September 30 announcement concerns arrests and an alleged plan; it does not establish that a retaliatory attack occurred or that any accused person has been convicted.
