The Election Commission extended Special Intensive Revision schedules for Andhra Pradesh and Meghalaya at its September 30 meeting, according to an official release. The meeting began at 4:30 pm in New Delhi. The revised timetable sets Andhra Pradesh’s final electoral-roll publication for October 16 and Meghalaya’s for October 26.

In Andhra Pradesh, the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections will continue through October 10. Akashvani and Meghalaya-based Hub Network also reported the revised dates. These are electoral-roll preparation deadlines, not new dates for polling.

The official statement did not give a reason for the extension or report findings about disputed voter entries. It also did not announce changes for other states. The timetable should therefore be read as an administrative scheduling decision, without assuming that particular names have been deleted or restored.
