ICICI Life Insurance’s October 2 exchange disclosure names Sidharatha Mishra as Anup Bagchi’s planned successor. Bagchi will leave the managing director and chief executive role at the close of business on October 13.
The board approved Mishra as chief operating officer from October 6. His proposed five-year term as managing director and chief executive begins on October 14 or when the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India gives approval, whichever is later, and remains subject to the required approvals.
The Financial Express’s October 2 report confirms the transition conditions and describes Mishra as an ICICI Bank executive overseeing digital channels and customer-facing functions. His bank responsibilities end at the close of business on October 5, according to the filing.
