Haryana launched a three-month entrepreneurship programme at Kurukshetra University on October 2, with district competitions, mentoring and separate routes for established startups and people developing an idea. The state’s official announcement and ANI’s October 2 report confirm the launch by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

The programme, Startup Haryana Seva Sankalp, aims to reach more than three lakh aspiring entrepreneurs and startups across 23 districts. Organisers plan to select 50 finalists and recognise ten winners. These figures describe intended reach and selections, rather than people already trained or funded.

The government says one group of finalists will comprise registered growth-stage startups seeking investors; the other will include students, aspiring entrepreneurs and grassroots innovators seeking grants. Mirror Now’s October 3 account reports proposed awards ranging from one lakh to fifteen lakh rupees, depending on the category and placing.

Officials also reported letters of intent for two incubators, partnerships with Zoho and Paytm Payments, and seed-funding cheques for eleven startups under the existing 2022 policy. Those cheques are distinct from future competition awards. The new programme’s employment and business-survival outcomes are not yet established.
