The Central Bureau of Narcotics has disclosed a seizure of 1.080 kg of material it identified as hydroponic cannabis from an international parcel at Jaipur’s Foreign Post Office. The Finance Ministry published the account on October 2; it did not specify the day of the interception.
According to the ministry, officers inspected the Thailand-origin consignment after receiving intelligence and found the substance mixed with packaged food. The release says it was seized under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and that further investigation is under way.
Akashvani also reported the Jaipur operation on October 2. Neither that report nor the ministry’s Jaipur release identifies a sender or recipient, announces an arrest in this case, or supplies a court finding. Those gaps mean the seizure cannot responsibly be presented as proof against a named person.
The announcement should also be distinguished from separate CBN operations in Madhya Pradesh mentioned in Akashvani’s report. Their arrests and recoveries are not part of the Jaipur parcel case.
