Reports published on October 5 describe a Delhi Police investigation into an alleged heroin supply and manufacturing network spanning Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh. The Tribune, NDTV and Aaj Tak reported four arrests and a total of 7.076 kilograms of heroin seized across the operation. The figure covers several actions, not a single recovery in Lucknow.
The Tribune and NDTV date the Lucknow raid to October 4. Police said the Rohini district Special Staff found an alleged manufacturing facility in the Jankipuram area, arrested a man identified as Bablu and recovered 6.275 kilograms of heroin. Officers also reported seizing materials and equipment allegedly used at the premises.
The investigation began with an interception in Delhi’s Begumpur area on September 16, according to both reports. Police said Laxman Hooda was arrested and 300 grams of heroin recovered. A second arrest, of Anil alias Bhola, followed on September 17, with a reported seizure of 501 grams. Those two earlier recoveries account for the remainder of the announced total.
Police subsequently arrested Ruksar Ali alias Raju in Bareilly, alleging that he was a principal supplier connected to the Lucknow premises. The reports do not specify his exact arrest date. Investigators said they were tracing financial connections, the sources of the seized materials and other people potentially linked to the suspected network.
Police put the heroin’s estimated international-market value at about ₹50 crore. That is an official estimate carried by the news reports, not an independently verified sale value. No original seizure record, laboratory report or response from the accused was available in the material reviewed. The arrests and police allegations do not establish guilt; the new account distinguishes October’s raid and disclosure from the September arrests.
