Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 65 projects and laid foundation stones for another 47 in Bhadohi on October 4. The Times of India’s report that evening put the value of the inaugurated works at ₹440.84 crore and the foundation-stage projects at ₹899.27 crore. Akashvani and Dainik Jagran separately confirmed the ceremony covering 112 projects worth more than ₹1,340 crore.

The package combines completed works presented for inauguration with schemes that still require construction. Janta Se Rishta’s October 4 account lists a Ganga bridge in Gyanpur and a district jail among the foundation-laying projects. Dainik Jagran’s October 3 advance report had identified the same proposed bridge and jail in the programme. Their inclusion in the ceremony does not establish that either facility is now open.

Adityanath also opened the 50th India Carpet Expo at the Carpet Expo Mart before addressing the public meeting at Bhikharipur, Dainik Jagran reported. He said Varanasi, Bhadohi and Mirzapur would be developed together as a silk cluster. That is a stated development plan; the reviewed reports provide no completed cluster, verified export orders or demonstrated increase in artisans’ incomes resulting from the event.

At the gathering, the chief minister said the district would be known as Sant Ravidas Nagar Bhadohi. Akashvani and The Times of India record that he had already announced the naming intention on Guru Purnima. The fresh development is the October 4 project ceremony and his renewed public statement. No new gazette notification establishing the legal effective date of the name change was available in the reviewed material.
