Three men were arrested in Dhule after a woman complained of sexual assault, Marathi newspaper Pudhari reported on October 3. It placed the arrests and registration of a case late on Friday, October 2. The allegations remain under investigation.

Earlier that morning, Loksatta quoted Additional Superintendent of Police Ajay Deore confirming that suspects had been detained and were being questioned. ABP Majha separately reported questioning on Friday night over alleged sexual assault and blackmail. These earlier reports described detention; the later arrest update came from Pudhari. No court-remand order was available in the material reviewed.

Deore urged residents to remain calm, reject rumours and cooperate with investigators, according to Loksatta. MLA Anup Agarwal demanded strict action and threatened a city shutdown on October 6 if authorities failed to act. That was a conditional political announcement, not confirmation of a shutdown. Neither the complaint nor the arrests establish anyone’s guilt.
