Bhubaneswar police arrested a garage owner and an employee on October 4 over the alleged purchase and dismantling of a stolen motorcycle linked to a rape investigation. The Times of India and OdishaBytes reported the arrests on October 4, a separate development from the principal suspect’s apprehension on October 3.
Police allege that the principal suspect stole the motorcycle after the alleged September 30 assault and later sold it to the garage owner. A senior officer told The Times of India that the two men knew it was stolen and dismantled it. Investigators were still examining whether they knew about the sexual-assault allegation; police did not accuse them of participating in that assault.
Both reports also say the principal suspect was discharged from hospital, formally arrested and sent to judicial custody on October 4. The accounts rely on police information; no original remand order or response from the accused was available for review. None of the arrests establishes guilt.
