Delhi Police disclosed three FIRs on October 3 after the previous day’s anti-CEC protests. PTI reported two cases at Parliament Street and one at Connaught Place. Police said nobody was named in the accused column, although the complaints mentioned organisers elsewhere.

Prabhasakshi’s October 3 report, citing two senior officers, says the cases were based on police daily-diary entries and invoked Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police allege protesters breached prohibitory orders imposed under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.

The protests challenged alleged irregularities in electoral-roll revision. The registration of these cases is a new investigative step; it does not establish either the protest allegations or criminal guilt.
