DRI disclosed eleven apprehensions across three wildlife investigations on October 2. The account includes September operations, rather than eleven new arrests on Friday.
The agency said a September 26–27 joint operation in Maharashtra’s Allapalli forest recovered two live pangolins, tiger bones and canines. Six people were intercepted. A separate ivory operation involved four articles and three people; that operation’s date was not specified.
Free Press Journal had reported the remaining Gondia case on October 1. Two people were apprehended near Purada after a leopard skin was recovered, according to DRI officials. The report said the suspects and skin were handed to the local Forest Range Officer for further action under wildlife-protection law.
The combined release dates that interception to September 29. The reviewed accounts do not provide the suspects’ responses or establish convictions. The cases remain allegations requiring investigation; the three operations should not be assumed to form one connected network.
