Sivasagar authorities said on October 1 that ground information showed no obstruction to the Dikhow River or abnormal downstream flow after reports of a landslide in Nagaland. The Times of India's late-evening report quoted the district administration's advisory and commissioner Mridul Yadav. The finding updates the earlier precautionary alert; it does not establish that future flood risk has disappeared.
The initial concern followed a September 30 message relaying a village report that much of the channel had been blocked. India Today NE reported that Thursday's checks instead found water moving normally, while enquiries in downstream villages found no unusual change in flow or level.
The reported site lies between areas of Mokokchung and Longleng districts. Northeast News, citing Sivasagar's disaster-management authority, placed it about 44 kilometres from the Naginimora overhanging bridge before the river enters Assam.
Monitoring continued at Bihubar. The October 1 readings reported by the Times of India reached 94.73 metres, below the 103.77-metre danger mark. That is a dated observation, not a live reading.
Residents in downstream areas were asked to remain attentive to official updates and report unusual changes to the district emergency operation centre. The substantive development is the verification result and continuing surveillance, rather than confirmation of the earlier blockage estimate.
