A joint Haryana Special Task Force and Delhi Crime Branch team apprehended Rohit alias Boda after police firing near Sonipat on the night of October 3. October 4 reports by Navbharat Times and Summer Express date the operation to Saturday night; Punjab Kesari separately reports his apprehension and hospital treatment.

Police said Rohit was wanted in connection with September 17 firing at singer Diler Kharkiya’s vehicle in Bhiwani. Navbharat Times quoted ACP Vipin Kadyan confirming that he had been caught and was being treated in hospital. The reports say he suffered injuries to both legs.

The police account alleges that Rohit fired at officers before they fired back, and that a pistol and motorcycle were recovered. The reviewed reports do not independently establish that sequence or whether the force was justified. Police also allege links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. These claims, and the alleged role in the singer’s case, remain subject to investigation. No response from Rohit or his lawyer, original court order or independent account of the shooting was available.
