Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam representatives Aadhav Arjuna and Maria Wilson attended an INDIA-bloc consultation at Sathyamurthy Bhavan in Chennai on October 3. After the meeting, Tamil Nadu Congress president Manickam Tagore announced that Vijay’s party had joined the alliance.

The Times of India reported on October 3 that Aadhav described TVK’s participation as a formal declaration of its alignment. In separate reporting, South First quoted TVK spokesperson Felix Gerald explaining that the national bloc was a wider grouping of the party’s existing Tamil Nadu alliance. TVK had previously maintained a distinction between its state-level partnership and participation in the national formation.

The parties agreed to demonstrations over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, including a Chennai protest on October 15 demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s removal. Their allegations about the revision remain political claims. The immediate verified development is TVK’s participation and the leaders’ announcement; the reports do not set out a national seat-sharing agreement.
