Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials on October 3 to prepare a Child Online Safety Framework in consultation with the Telangana High Court and the state legal-services authority. UNI reported the instruction from the opening of NALSA’s South Zone Regional Conference in Hyderabad.
The Times of India’s October 3 report also describes the direction. Reddy called for parents to participate and stressed support and recovery for children affected by online crime. He also launched a legal-aid scheme addressing bonded labour and mobile justice services.
The online-safety announcement is an instruction to develop a framework, rather than confirmation that a finished system has begun operating. The reports reviewed specify no budget, drafting deadline or implementation date.
