October 2 reports disclosed two arrests in Bijnor over an alleged attempt to acquire former chief minister Kamal Nath’s ancestral land through forged records.
Police said the arrests occurred Thursday. Nath’s complaint alleges a fabricated will and death certificate concerning his late father’s property.
The Indian Express reported that police were examining possible similar property claims. The alleged forgery and conspiracy remain under investigation, not established by a conviction.
