Hapur police announced five arrests on October 3 after an overnight operation linked to the alleged robbery of a truck carrying textiles. One suspect suffered a gunshot wound and was taken for treatment. ANI’s account quoted Garh Circle deputy superintendent Rahul Yadav; IANS separately reported the arrests that morning.

Yadav said officers tried to stop the vehicle during checks on October 2 night. Police allege its occupants drove away and later fired at another team, prompting police firing. The reviewed reports contain no independent reconstruction of the shooting or response from the accused.

Police said they recovered the truck, cloth, firearms and ammunition. Investigators link the vehicle to a September 28 robbery. Recovery and arrest do not establish each suspect’s responsibility for that offence; the reported account remains subject to investigation and legal proceedings.
