Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated a dedicated 33kV power substation and the Vivekananda Bhavan Phase-II staff quarters at Ramakrishna Mission Hospital in Itanagar on October 4. Akashvani reported that the residential facility would accommodate around 18 staff members.
The substation was established specifically for the hospital. Its inauguration confirms a new facility, but the reports provide no operating data demonstrating uninterrupted electricity or a measured improvement in patient care.
A fuller account in The Arunachal Times, credited to the Chief Minister’s Office, said Khandu acknowledged the poor condition of some older staff and doctors’ housing. He said the Mission had submitted a detailed project report for replacement work and that he would take it up with the planning department.
Khandu also said the hospital’s request for a dedicated water supply had been referred for departmental processing and funding. Those further proposals remain separate from the two facilities opened on October 4; the report does not establish their approval or completion.
