Guwahati’s police commissioner confirmed on October 3 that a nightclub manager and an event manager had been arrested after questioning. PTI-Bhasha reports that the case concerns an alleged assault on a woman.
Police opened the case on Friday night and collected CCTV footage. Investigators are checking a circulating video and the circumstances of the alleged assault.
The arrests are a new procedural development after the earlier detention reported on October 2. They do not establish either person’s guilt. No identifying images or details of the woman are reproduced here.
